Awesome!  It's always nice to see some of the legal guys get a little joy.

While hiking today K6FRC/C 13565 Khz strong on the
KA 1103...time 1815 - 1930Utc

I also heard 5 dits followed by 4 dits not sure on the count...
also SGZ  on 13563  it also started to send the QTH and then the qrm
peaked and it faded down...Perhaps my memory of the three letter call
is wrong...I did not have a pen with me...
help me out if you can...

Good job on the K6FRC catch.  That beacon is a fantastic QSLer.

You must have copied SGCA in San Garbiel, CA on the other one.

While hiking in my favorite meadow I caught:1900-2000Utc
Kc6frc/c  13565Khz
SZX  13563 kHz
RIX  13562 Khz

Recever the KA 1102
so the freqs for SZX and RIX are approximate

These hifers are 3-5 Mw

I just copied it.  K6FRC K6FRC  K6FRC is the message I copied.  No slash 'C' and no KC6 here.  Maybe another beacon is on the air on the same freq with a similar call adding the extra 'C's?  Odd.

Those were typos k6frc is accurate...  it dominates the band here in Colorado and
I generally dial down below it to try and catch RIX or SZX...or some other HIFER
since I don't take notes out in the field  I make errors...
I can almost hear k6frc everyday that I hike...the only reason
I mention these legal hifers on this forum which is supposed to be a PHFER
only forum...is to let people know they are out there...most of the people that read these
post never ever say they have ever heard a beacon...
Sometimes I think this entire forum is a waste....
