Title: propagation anomaly
Post by: pinto vortando on December 16, 2018, 1546 UTC
Past couple of mornings (Saturday and Sunday) have noticed an almost total lack of signals between about 240 and the bottom end of the DGPS band.
Almost no noise but almost no sigs either... an RF desert.
OTOH, some good DX 200 - 220 and good conditions above 326.  Strange
Anyone else have a similar experience ?

Just took a quick spin of the dial through 240 - 280 and the band is alive with signals about 4 1/2 hrs after local sunset here in Michigan.
Quite a contrast to the nearly dead conditions of the past two mornings.

Sometimes things just go dead depending on geomagnetic conditions.  This is beyond my understanding.
