Title: 7.055MHz LSB Indonesian pile ups.
Post by: Looking-Glass on February 05, 2020, 1647 UTC
Just about every night (Australian time) between 1000z & 1600z there are literally hundreds of Indonesian stations in a seemingly endless pile up of calling on 7.055MHz LSB.

Not so long back I remember ORARI Daerah Bali provincial net used to operate on this frequency, it was a good place to pick up stations if you are chasing the worked all Indonesian provinces award.

Also good for picking up the many Indonesian IOTA stations too.

Not to be confused with the infamous "chanters" from Indonesian village radio, these are radio amateurs and you can hear various YB, YC prefixes etc.

When prop was better I used to hear some of these guys in the morning (West coast US time)... a few Malaysians, too.

Not recently, though.

Good thing too, they're almost as bad as the Canadians running ssb in the digital/cw portion of the band.
