The band is really up and down this morning. Mostly down. I heard a station out of York,England on 27.385 around 9:00 am local time. Hearing stations her and there on 27.385 and 27.555, but most are quite weak.

1800 UTC 27375 LSB - Good signals from a British Columbia op (first time I have ever heard one I think) in a QSL with a VA op who of course I cannot hear.
-
I heard a station from Vancouver also, which was a bit of a surprise. Use to hearing from New Brunswick, Moncton, Tor etc. Heard a few stations from California as well. I tend to work EU/UK more than California

10/11 Still not good here. I did jump up to 17M and worked W6TI in California. Special events station. We'll continue to check 11

11 meters does that - I remember during the last solar peak hearing California stations working guys in Hawaii on 27025, 27085 and several frequencies around 27385 LSB. I worked a bunch of west coast stations with a barefoot Galaxy DX 959 on 27.385 MHz LSB, 27.395 MHz LSB, and the in-between channels freqs like 27.370 MHz LSB and 27.390 MHz. I remember hearing real powerhouse stations on 27025/27085 (channels 6 and 11 AM) - some with some really nice AM audio....lately, not so much...but there's been more propagation to Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean

The band is on fire here, AM signals everywhere from CA / WA / BC. Huge signals.

Yeah for sure. I remember the good old days when you could work 10/11 into the UK/EU and Australia/New Zealand on the daily, even mobile. 10/11 right now is reminded me of 6M. Channel 6 has some big stations for sure. I've run into some of those guys over the years. Most drive Chevy Suburban's with co-phased vertical array's. Multiple alternators to power those huge amps. Most normal folks have their amps behind their seat or near the radio. Those guys need a whole trunk space. I remember when I was a kid listening to 'Shoot outs' on CH6. At the end they would always say 'And I just got down' never understood that it meant they were in park with their foot on the gas making those alternators scream just long enough before something blew up!

Hearing WA state and BC as well. No luck with contacts though.
