I hear some neat stuff from .au down there in that rage, but mostly outback relays.

Morse is human readable while packet is computer readable. If it's too fast for you to differentiate the individual "dits and dahs", it's likely RTTY.

Speaking of Aus, is there any SW pirates there, or is that pretty much a NA and EU pheomena?
(FM pirates I know are worldwide, especially in Africa)
