From Glenn Hauser... Another pirate for us to be on the lookout for:

10/8, 0105-0145, 9775/AM; I finally catch the strange pirate Radio YHWH,
which was first reported by Dan Sheedy on 6010 & 5990, and by Bob
Larose on 9775, both listening in S California. Bob had it UT Sept
28 during this same hour. I`m usually checking this area for Turkey
spurs, etc., but never found it till:

Now, Oct 8 at 0105 there`s a poor signal in English with ID as
Radio YHWH, and long monolog/sermon. He`s badly squeezed between
two stronger signals splashing about equally, Turkey in Spanish
from 9770, and VOA in English from 9780 Sri Lanka, so there`s no
advantage to listening in USB or LSB. At 0109 also brief QRM from
modulation spike spurs, which I expect to be ex WWV 10000 except
that fundamental is not very strong tonite; maybe from 9860 WHRI
supersignal. The 9775 carrier is steady and almost on-frequency
compared to neighbors; well-modulated, it just needs to be stronger.

     At 0110 preacher talks about animal sacrifices, cites Judges XI:30;
0121 still about sacrificing; refers to an ISBN number. 9775 signal
almost fades out but occasionally peaks better, such as 0130 & 0131.
     0133 cites Jeremiah XXIII:6, Matthew XXVIII:18, Zachariah XIV:9.
0136 carrier off and right back on. 0139 asserts there will be no
2nd-coming, nor 1,000-year reign. Apparently views obsession with
Jesus as an obstacle to direct contact with Yahweh (God). 0140,
``Thanks for listening to Radio Station YHWH--I have another show
on the Jewish viewpoint on the coming of the Messiah``, refers to a
book copyrighted 1981. Still going past 0145 when I tune-out.

Googling on Radio YHWH or Yahweh gets a number of hits, apparently
mostly podcasts but nothing linked to 9775. Maybe some of them are
     being played on this frequency.

This of course reminds us of the licensed but long-dormant WMLK,
Assemblies of Yahweh in Pennsylvania, which is supposedly working
on getting a 250 kW transmitter and antenna operational, always
registered on 9265 and 9955. But this speaker is not its late EJOM.

Strangely enough, searching HFUnderground.com on YHWH and Yahweh
gets zero hits. Guess they haven`t been reading DXLD (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1690, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
10/9, 0045, 9775; at 0045 nothing but a JBA carrier nor anything plus/
minus 5; further chex including 0106 still lack Radio YHWH as heard
24 hours earlier, and the ACI are greatly attenuated by the CME
which hit at 2015 Oct 8: 9780 VOA Sri Lanka poor with flutter, and
9770 Turkey very poor. Spaceweather.com reports: ``CME IMPACT, GEO-
MAGNETIC STORM: An interplanetary shock wave, possibly the leading
edge of a CME, hit Earth's magnetic field on October 8th at approxi-
mately 2015 UT (1:15 pm PDT). The impact has sparked a minor (G1-
class) geomagnetic storm that could intensify in the hours ahead.
High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras`` (Glenn
     Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
10/10, 0055, 9775; at 0055 a JBA carrier, and after 0100 nothing at all,
third night without any Radio YHWH; altho propagation has really
degraded since then (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
10/11, 0057, 9775; looking for Radio YHWH again, but only a JBA carrier, no
ACI yet; at 0102 the ACI is on from both sides, and not even the JBA
carrier now. Perhaps Friday night = Sabbath will bring it back (Glenn
     Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

I was playing around with homemade ATU this past Monday and heard this one. I didn't realize it was a pirate. My reaction was "Great. Another Preacher on shortwave."

I found that tuning down to 9773-74 and using the narrow AM filter on the Sangean 909 I was using to test the ATU  with seemed to improve the copy on this one. The antenna was about 20 feet of bell wire strung around the room.

This one would be an easy catch w/o the adjacent interference.

You're antenna I can thoroughly empathize with. It's mighty lonely out here in S*it-for-Antenna Land. Sad

Try putting Jesus on top of your A.T.U.

Plastic Jesus stays on the dashboard of my car, as God intended.

Sideburn, you're not another Son of Fansome, are you? Don't listen to that dog of his, it can get you in all sorts of trouble. Most of us are sure it ate Captain Ron.

Nothing wrong with getting a second Jesus for the top of the A.T.U.

The faithful call this "the two-Jesus method".

This one was heard last night on  3234.95 kHz. by DXLD contributor Ron Howard in California. They are probably using other freqs that we haven't noticed . Ron attached an audio ID with his log.

I would probably tune right past this one ,thinking it just another religious station.

Nice catch. I'll try to see if I can compile a list of known frequencies, and set up the SDR14 for some overnight recording.

Most of the logs seem to be from west coast DXers?

OK, here's the blog post: http://hfunderground.com/blog/?p=185

Turns out that some hams heard YHWH on 80 meters back in August, so this pirate goes back even further.
