1619Z 55555 Full quieting. Linkin Park "Powerless"

Was driving around the southern suburbs of Minneapolis and heard activity on 87.7. When it was found, it was a solid signal. Drove for about a mile or so and it faded out. Caught it mid-song and it dropped before the song finished, no ID.

First time I've heard anyone around here on 87.7.

If thats the one I am thinking about...

Lincoln Park Pirates - Steve Goodman (RIP)

A song about a towing company in Chicago named "Lincoln Park Towing" that had a notorious reputation of towing any car, even if legally parked.

Song had a pirate style, "Way hey, we'll tow them away, the Lincoln Park Pirates are we. From Willmette to Gary, there's nothing so scary, and we always collect our fee."

FYI, most towing companies of that type are mafia or corrupt police or both.
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

Following up on my original post of this over the past months... 87.7 is regular. For quite a while, it seemed like a TV re-broadcast. The last time I was finally able to ID the TV channel (by way of hosts mentioned... interestingly never verbally gave an ID) and it was KSTP-TV ch 5 (at least it was KSTP-TV around Christmas when I went through. Perhaps they change sources?)

I figure its a hotel/restaurant/other in this part of the metro that's rebroadcasting audio on FM for some reason.
