Welcome to the HFUnderground message board!

Right now we have forums for posting your loggings, as well as other radio-related discussions. If anyone has a suggestion for a new forum, suggestions are welcome.

For now, membership is open, if the spammers arrive we may have to manually approve new members. Rest assured, all radio enthusiasts are welcome here.

Good Day,

We are interested in setting up a limited range community radio Station in Alpine, Texas (Big Bend Region) for the Chamber of Commerce to use to inform visitors of events. Can someone point us in the right direction to do this.

Thank you,

Gil

Thank you for the links! They were very helpful.

We may also try something similar to what has been done here with low power radio http://lowpowerradio.googlepages.com/atlanticrecordslowpowerradio

I'll have to check that link out Gil.

I've been looking for new place to call home for a couple of years and the Alpine area is on the short list.

Fansome has a good links on the TIS/LPFM thing. That seems to be the direction most communities go for the type of thing you're talking about.

Rather than start a new topic just to say howdy, I thought I would bring this topic back from the dead.

I live in West Texas. I love radio, interested in all areas. I've spent a couple of decades listening to shortwave radio. Just love DXing local and long distance.
Have been logging stuff in notebooks for years but never submitted to any online loggings except for on the WBCQ forums.

Dig your site, and the forums are swell too!

Excellent! This board waxes and wanes with events, but don't let slow spells deter you from posting or asking questions, often enough those help stir conversation.

I use the rss feed feature to get alerted when someone's posted something and that seems to help keep me involved.

Welcome!
