Daytime Longwave Beacons 2000 UTC 29 Aug 2015
« on: August 29, 2015, 2006 UTC »
Basically the same as what I heard in June, except a few additional stations. All logged with a NRD 545 and a 200 ft terminated wire. This is giving me some ideas for an app... :-)

Decent loggings Chris.
I'm new to LW, have only heard CLB on 216 kHz in NC
and DDP on 392 kHz in San Juan, both with CW ID.

Do all the beacons on LW have a CW ID? I pick up signals
on LW but a lot seem to be a digital mode of some kind.

I attached a screen shot of waterfall in FLDIGI of
291 kHz.

Thanks

I suspect you heard one of the DGPS (differential GPS) stations. There's a bunch of those around that part of the LW band.

My MultiMode app will actually decode them and display the station ID: http://www.blackcatsystems.com/software/cw-rtty-sstv-fax-psk31-packet-decoding-software.html
