Music Of The Sphears
« on: June 26, 2016, 0255 UTC »
I'm hearing both the Hiker on 7998.5 and the other dasher 7998.3 beginning at 0235 utc...
Kinda like listening in the past years to three 4096 beacons...

0230 UTC: Dialing past 8 mHz tonight and 7998.5 is standing out nicely with 7998.3 in there as well at the same time, though it's much weaker from this location.  Neat hearing both of them simultaneously.

Finally I am hearing both of these stations at the same time!   1219z on 12 Sep 2016. The presumed Hiker on 7998.3 with a shorter dash, and the other station on 7998.46 or so with the longer one.

And now at 1224 they have both faded out. Very interesting. I will have to check again about this time tomorrow morning, and see if I can hear both again.

At 1347 I am hearing the longer dash 7998.46 beacon again, but very weak.

Hearing them both at the moment, 0130 utc, here in Northern Utah.  QSB on both of them as they compete for which one will be the strongest.  Of course I should mention that neither one moves the S meter.  Have thunder storms moving thru the area this evening and even with the static crashes they are making it thru.

Old Hiker and Shorty are two fun beacons to lesson to...

I don't usually check for these guys in the evening, but I am hearing the short dasher on 7998.3 at 2350z. And maybe something else in there as well?
