I bet this fuse, in a shortwave radio, could even improve reception.  Solid SIO of 555. I'm afraid to even contemplate the effects of this fuse in an SDR.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150695403285#ht_2791wt_1398

The latest development of HiFi-Tuning from Germany is the unplated "Supreme" fuse. More speed, dynamics, enhanced clarity, improved three-dimensionality results from the outstanding fuse materials, an alloy from 99% pure silver and 1% pure gold, tip-to-tip, caps and burn-wire! The anti-resonant ceramic fuse body is retained - inside the ceramic body is an additional anti-resonance tube, and of course HiFi-Tuning is the only fuse manufacturer capable of producing fuses with a silver/gold alloy burn wire. Why is this important? Because in all other upgrade fuses, the copper-based burn wire will degrade over time due to oxidation - silver oxide is a good conductor. And of course all HiFi-Tuning fuses are deep cryo treated!

Customer feedback:
"Your fuses turned a mid fi integrated that I got as an intermediate until I got something better, into something better. This is not the same amp as when I started. Gone is the stridency and that digital mid fi sound. Its a completely different beast. I listened to it every morning upon wakening and when I got home from work, and every time it sounded better. I'm not talking miracles here, making something out of nothing, but as of now, I'm in no big hurry to get my new integrated. These fuses made a bigger and better difference than any cables that I've tried..."

"Alfred, I can't explain it, but those fuses make a very big -- and immediately noticeable -- difference in my Atma-Sphere MA-1 OTL power amp! The transient response and the bass detail, in particular, are dramatically improved. So count me in as a fan of these German fuses!"

"I have never, never Alfred, had the impact on an upgrade that this fuse gave my system. Last night, on my audition, my system blew me away. I put this fuse in my Genesis Servo amp... Cleaning the bass up like this fuse did, enabled my mids and highs and soundstage and microdynamics to jump out like never before"

"...Just put the fuse in and Wow! So much more focus, higher freq. ringing is gone, much improved outline, more musical, more detail, more separation...this did more than I expected... Sound is so smooth and relaxed, almost as if the noise floor is improved as well. So happy."

The level of detail and balance on a typical SSB signal is greatly enhanced by this fuse. A true miracle. No more fussing around with the BFO pitch. You tune in and BAM its there. I used two fuses in parallel, and was amazed at the stereo separation I was able to get from the SSB signal. Oddly, when my hooka got clogged up, I was unable to hear the same level of detail in the typical SSB signal. That must mean that the fuse is worn out, so I will order several more.

If you live in a lightning prone area, I suggest the 20A fuse.

I must order some of these metafuses.  I've been searching for YEARS to find a way to get that damn STRIDENCY out of my receiver.  It's gonna be great!  Mebbe it'll even make my rig perform like an SDR.... yessir, where's my credit card?

Hey, anything that filters out the stridency in my shortwave receiver would be great.  Do they make 'em band-specific, for medium wave, 43m and 20m?  A double-polemic filter would be nice for talk radio.

You just leave me out of all of this crazy talk. All I'm looking for is a radio that actually has KNOBS.

Still haven't lured out Fansome with this one,eh?

Fansome: Any truth to the rumor that you're planning a "SDR Demolition Night", similar to the anti disco riots of the 1970s?

Al,you've got to try this thing. I put one in my old transistor radio and got Turkmenistan's MW service blasting over the North Pole in the middle of the afternoon.

Ask the Bunny to buy you one. That's how I got mine.
