Sudanese clandestine, open with a few bars of ? then into Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay" in English then OM & YL with IDs some in English, some in Arabic
To Africa from an "unidentified location".
Very nice clean S7 signal with low noise.

VK3BVW:
As I was researching material for an article I have written on Radio Miraya, I came across your HFU blog post of September 7. Could I respectfully point out that Radio Miraya is NOT a clandestine radio station. It has a well established network of 26 relays for its FM service throughout the Republic of South Sudan, as well as the shortwave relay of three hours of that service each day between 0300 and 0600 UTC. The station runs under the auspices of UNMISS - the United Nations Mission In South Sudan.

You may be interested in the article I have just published on Radio Miraya, which can be found at my blog - the Mount Evelyn DX Report (MEDXR):

Thanks for your post - it is strange that some sources note this as a clandestine (which is now shown on 11560khz at 0300z).
I am curious which is correct.

Thx again!!

VK3BVW:
Might I say, respectfully, that I don't think MT know what they are talking about!  ;)

Yes, 11560 now. But as you saw from my article, for the new B13 transmission schedule there is a registration with HFCC as 9940 kHz 0300-0600. Once B13 gets underway, we'll be able to confirm if this is indeed the new freq.
