The Insomniac:
I am currently tuned into a Spanish language station at 6850 kHz. I understand some of what they're saying. They just gave a website it sounded like escuela[something].org Any ideas? Edit: At the end, I could hear them say Radio Mundial and the website was escuelabiblicamundial.org. It turned out to be WWCR's Spanish broadcast before an English one.

rdla4:
WWCR is on 6875 at that time. They have a mix/spur up at 6970. I would guess that the 6850 may be another one of these from WWCR. WWCR also concludes spanish at either 2100 or 2200 UTC.

Also, I think I saw on another post that you are in North Alabama----probably not to far from here. The 6970 mix can be quite strong here late in the day. They are just "up the road a piece".

ChrisSmolinski:
I wonder if it could be WEWN?

Next time you hear this on 6850, try comparing the audio to WWCR or WEWN, or any other US SWBC stations you can think of, and see if you hear a  match.

I checked my SDR recording for this time and date and did not have anything here.

Where abouts are you located?

The Insomniac:
I'll try that and see what I can come up with. If it helps, I don't have ssb on this radio; I could hear a mix of stations in the 69XX kHz range, including the Rick and Bubba Show.

rdla4:
I am just north of Atlanta. True....WEWN is pretty close to you as well..

Rick and Bubba strike me as coming from a nearby medium wave signal (AM broadcast).
