Treehouse SWL:
Listening via the SDR in Shrewsbury, Vermont, which is receiving an S7ish signal and pretty good audio ...
2303 UTC: Male host saying he's going to play some good music, giving the frequency and time, and then adding "the show will start in five minutes."
2304 UTC: Off for now.
2305 UTC: Back on with host saying "Goood morning!" and then saying this is the "412 Music Show." He said he'll send physical QSL cards for those emailing at [email protected] (I've confirmed this is correct; turns out I corresponded with this pirate before).
2307 UTC: Host continued talking: "This is the 412 Music Show. Here we go, Daddy-O. The show will start in about three minutes." Then off again.
2309 UTC: Back on with "412 Music Show" ID and then introducing the first song, "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" by The Four Lads.
2312 UTC: "I Can't Believe You Love Me" by Barry White.
2317 UTC: Small technical hiccup as it sounded like the song stopped, and another began. But the Barry White came back after a few seconds.
2322 UTC: Host back on the mic, thanked listeners for tuning in, and talked about the just-played songs. He then gave HFU shout-outs and said he'll send out QSLs.
2325 UTC: Host gave the ID again, followed by "Rhyze to the Top" by Rhyze.
2331 UTC: "Ding Dang" by The Beach Boys.
2333 UTC: "Runaway" by Del Shannon.
2335 UTC: "Auto Mechanic" prank phone call from The Jerky Boys.
2337 UTC: "Hey It's Rick ... Or Is It?" a prank phone call from Taco Tuesday.
2340 UTC: "N***** Hatin' Me" by Johnny Horton.
2342 UTC: "The Swag" by Link Wray.
2344 UTC: The host shouted out some of the newer HFU posters. Said he might take requests after taking a break.
2345 UTC: ID, then off.
* * * * *
0030 UTC: I tuned back in via the same SDR ... The station's back on playing "Rock Lobsters" by The B-52s.
0032 UTC: "Surfin' Bird" by The Trashmen.
0033 UTC: Off a moment, then back with the song for a second. Then the host got on the mic and said something. Then off.
0035 UTC: Back on with "Surfin' Bird" by The Trashmen after the host said something about his record player.
0037 UTC: The host gave a short introduction to the song, then played "Hey, Good Lookin'" by Hank Williams feat. The Drifting Cowboys.
0040 UTC: "Get a Job" by The Silhouettes; I think the host said he's playing these from old 78s.
0043 UTC: "Gimme Some Lovin'" by The Spencer Davis Group.
0044 UTC: Host gave an updated HFU shout-out during the song.
0046 UTC: Off, then host back on the mic apologizing for technical difficulties. He added he's going to play more requests. The mic's a bit fuzzier than before.
0048 UTC: "Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys.
Thanks for the music show this evening!
