Ct Yankee:
Sorry I was out for broadcast.
So, Dead Air is a Sunday Night Grateful Dead program on WESU-FM 88.1 in neighboring Middletown, CT. Great station, I listen frequently and have a sweatshirt from one of their other programs. WESU is the college station for highly regarded Wesleyan University, I happened to be on campus last night for a screening of the 2025 film "The Librarians" about recent book bans (excellent film). If nearby, they are having a Record Fair April 18 https://www.wesufm.org/2026/03/24/spring-2026-record-fair/
Recent story on station in Radio Survivor: https://www.radiosurvivor.com/2025/12/radio-station-visit-190-wesu-fm-at-wesleyan-university/
Maybe next time time a relay of the "Oldies Review with Jimmy Z"? ;D
DJ Kraze:
Wow, WESU's Dead Air show. That show has been on the air for decades. I remember it back in the 80's when Holly Rose did the show. One day I was in my office (the engineering department) and Holly came in and showed me an article with her picture about the show. I forget which paper it was but it was taken in the air studio.
BTW: in case anyone is curious, I am not the one rebroadcasting any content from WESU, regardless of my being one of the former engineers and radio personalities from there (in the 80's). I can't say for sure, but I don't think anyone currently involved in the station knows about it.
