Audio is a bit scratchy and rough (pot calling kettle black? Im certainly one to talk), seemingly overmodulated, though listenable
Thanks for the show!

Struggling with some issues here with some hum and some other crap. The over modulation is probably related to I/Q balance type issues with the ISB stereo crap. I think I had the sidebands up too high.
I flicked the power off a couple of times on the exciter mid transmission and the mains hum seem to have gone away. Any requests for Brother Stair? ;D

No worries, I *certainly* understand the struggle getting everything balanced just right 😁 and it never quite sounds the same once you crank the power after meticulously testing and tuning locally.
Digging the vibes, if a request pops into my mind I'll toss it your way
edit: independent sideband modulation stereo? Nice! for anyone not using "SAS" mode on kiwisdr, you're missing out. I wish more SDR software would implement ISM and c-quam. Glad to see someone doing it anyways, because when it's working, it really does sound fantastic

While at times winter in Western NY might seem like East Antarctica...you're hearing me via the ionosphere :-X 8) ;D

Yup! That's exactly what I'm doing. Well, its sort of...it's almost closer to Dolby style mid-side matrixing. The carrier gets modulated in the I phase with a mono signal. The sidebands are in Q/-Q phase with the sideband info. This also partially solves for the CQUAM system through addition, rather than subtraction. It's *sort* of compatible with CQUAM, too.
I'm pretty certain neither Kahn or Motorola could have implemented this system without stepping on each other's patents.
