MrMomB:
0237 I came up from the basement from installing a new freezer, turned the radio and was presented with a S-9+10 signal, AM stereo and so much wider than I can receive. There is only one pirate I know that can accomplish such a feat. Without ID, this broadcast has Stern Radio written all over it. Now, i must return to the basement to continue peeling microscopic thin plastic coatings on every dam surface of the freezer.

LCDan:
Strong signal into NE Illinois - S9 with some fading. Always good to hear The Smiths!

The Kenwood TS-890 can only do 5K wide on RX and the Elecraft only a scant 4.2K. I have an Idea....Use one radio for USB and the other for LSB for the spread.
sternradio666:
Transmitter kaput. Exciter cathode current meter went to smells like transformer levels. I think I caught it fast enough before any real damage. Tube probably shat itself.
Thanks for listening folks, you make it fun.
