WTCR on 6925U/6950U

(1/1)

Zoidberg:
12/6/09
6925 USB, then 6950 USB - presumably all WTCR, tho' first clear ID not heard until 0428z
0331z: David Bowie "Ashes to Ashes" - suddenly stopped
0334z: Restarted on 6950 USB, same Bowie song
Jackson Browne "On the Boulevard", Genesis "Misunderstanding", Pretenders "Stop Your Sobbing", Boz Scaggs, Squeeze "Tempted"

Started out well, S3-S4 over S1 noise, faded to barely audible by 0350z.  Still going as of 0410z but too far in noise to ID anything.

0417z: Cyndi Lauper, just popped out of noise long enough to copy part of song, then faded again.
0421z: INXS "The One Thing", still barely audible but song is familiar enough to ID
Patty Smythe/Scandal "Goodbye to You"
0428z: WTCR, Twentieth Century Radio - first audible ID

Unusually weak signal for WTCR.  Conditions must really be poor when WTCR falls below S5 here - it's usually S9 even on my indoor antenna.

Zane:
Hearing this too in Chicago. Quite weak SINPO 15441
