WEFAX/FLDIGI decode problem 9/8/15

(1/2) > >>

flexoman61:
I'm having a decode error with WEFAX in
FLDIGI.

Image skews throughout decode, about 90% of the time. Attached is a small
image but you can see whats happening.

I don't want to just start changing settings, cuz I don't really know what I'm doing.

I have my suspicions of the cause, but I'm hoping that this is something that has been
seen before with an easy fix. I have always had good answers to my lame computer problems here on HFU.

I'm using,
-windows 8.1
-FLDIGI 3.22.05
-StarTech USB to stereo Audio External sound card, part # ICUSBAUDIOB

Thanks for ANY help

Hummm

Try shutting off the 'red' button to the right of the horizontal align slider...  just above the waterfall... then align manually with the slider that might help...

refmo:
I had that problem when I upgraded to Windows7, seemed to be caused by the virtual audio card I was using to patch the SDR audio into my decoding software.
'VB-Cable' seems to do much better, although since Windows upgraded me to Windows10, my sound card timing seems to have changed.  I need to re-calibrate.
Not sure if they allow links from outside sites, but here is a link to the VB-Cable download:

or view their site to read more info:  http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/index.htm
