UNID 6925USB 0344UTC 05252012

(1/1)

RobRich:
Time: 05252012 0344UTC - 0348UTC
Frequency: 6925KHz
Mode: Upper Sideband (?)
SINPO: 24222

Content:

Sounded like a heavy metal track.

Notes:

The signal was blending into the noise floor here, so no song identification.

jFarley:
Got this in AM 0346 - 0349z, with an intermittent carrier before this period.  Unid tunage.  S9+2 here.

Thanks!

RobRich:
I might have been picking it up via ECSS instead of stricly USB.

Sounded like there might have been SSTV transmissions at a similar signal level a few minutes later. Possibly unrelated, though.

ChrisSmolinski:
SDR recording catch. 0340 sign on with 99 Luftballoons boobs parody (so maybe Big Boobs Radio?), definitely an AM signal.  I wonder if this was the UNID I had the night before, same time, frequency, and signal strength.
