(1/2) > >>

BOR:
0015Z tuned in an AM signal. Very weak on the west coast...unable to make out any audio
Apparently, this is Radio Ronin Shortwave from a CW ID that a sharp eared listener in the pirateradio chat room was able to copy...
signal has come up a bit and am able to make out audio now, faintly

textim:
On at 0008z with interval signal, then into songs with "rain" in the title.  Unid tune, then Led Zep's "Rain Song", CCR "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?"
High speed CW at 0027, maybe an ID?  Into another "rain" song, lyrics are "Save it for a rainy day".

S9+20 signal, whoever you are.  Thanks!

DimBulb:
Tough copy in NH with static levels at S9+, guessing it would be about S8-S9 w/o the static

0031z Eurythmics  - Here Comes The Rain Again
0036z Prince - Purple Rain
0044z Temptations - I Wish It Would Rain

Signal has dropped further into the noise making copy tougher, down to S7, noise is still S9+

0047z ELO - Rain is Falling
0051z CW ID "This is Radio Ronin Shortwave"
0052z John Mayall - Singing In The Rain
0054z CCR - Who'll Stop The Rain?
0056z Gordon Lightfoot - In The Early Moring Rain
0059z Joan Baez - A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall

Signal back up now, about even with the noise

0107z CW ID "This is Radio Ronin Shortwave"
0107z Julie Roberts - Rain On A Tin Roof
0111z The Cascades - Rhythm Of The Rain (Yeah jF, I thought it was the Everlys too)
0114z The Rippingtons - Rain
0119z CW ID into Kenny G - In The Rain
0124z Voice ID and off

corq:
Carrier only from my QTH near Indian Harbor, FL. But definite signal in the air, will try again as condx improve.

jFarley:
S9 + 15 here; looks like it came on around 0009?  Massive storm noise from Wesconsin

0032 Eurythmics - "Here Comes the Rain Again", Prince - "Purple Rain"
0044 Temptations - "I Wish It Would Rain", ELO - "Rain Is Falling"
0050 CW, "Standing in the Rain"?, CCR - "Who'll Stop the Rain", G Lightfoot - "Early Morning Rain", "Hard Rain's Gonna Fall"
0107 CW, "Rain On a Tin Roof"?, eBros? - "Listen  to the Rhythm of the Falling Rain"
0119 CW...even though RRS still has a massive signal here, it is now being crushed by storm noise.
0124 Voice ID, "Till next time..."
0125 off

Thank you Radio Ronin!
