Radio True North 6950 AM 0202z Oct 2, 2012

(1/1)

Cornelius:
0202z - Noticed a carrier at 6950 while listening to TCS Relay.
0206z - Can't ID the song, but sounds like something I've heard RTN play.
0214z - Radio True North ID - Weak, fading signal, but caught the ID.

Jolly Roger:
Nice signal into north Canada tonight. Always a pleasure to hear!

Wow....I F%*#ing LOVE 80's music.  I love the liquorice pizza music....:)  "Well we could sprinkle cornstarch on the bottom and sell them as Licorice Pizzas"

Pirates Anthem -- Shabba Ranks  --  0514  UTC  --

Off --  0518  UTC  --

Thank you for a beautiful broadcast.

ChrisSmolinski:
SDR catch, 0202z sign on. Fair signal, static and a het from around 6948 kHz, although tweaking of the passband and sync SM mode took care of the latter.

The seasons must be changing, as RTN previously did not come in this early.
