He can change frequency, he just likes to bother people. I have seen him use USB, LSB, and 4 MHz frequencies so I am sure he has a ham radio with a VFO.

While do do hate Satan Sideband, I still think that when there are so many frequencies available and all the stations have a VFO (no crystals, which was the case tonight) the station that got there later should just move. I do wish less stations used SSB though. It sounds awful and it’s the reason I often use SDR’s to listen to Europirates. The use of Satan Sideband is extremely rare among pirates in Europe.
