Title: radio casablanca, 6940, around 0100z to 0230z 4 Sep 2013
Post by: desmoface on September 03, 2013, 2301 UTC
Just got the good news from Rick Blaine.  Eff those Nazis.

Dear friend,

After many, many months of confinement in a Nazi labor camp, manufacturing faulty artillery shells, I recently managed to escape and make my way back to Morocco with the aid of members of the resistance.

Radio Casablanca expects to return to the airwaves this evening, starting sometime between 0000-0100 UTC.  The frequency will hopefully be 6940 kHz AM, if there is no evidence of the Nazi jammers recently noted on the frequency.  Otherwise, check around 6923 or 6978ish kHz AM as available.  I hope you are able to join us if we make it on the air.

For those who may have long been waiting for QSL confirmations from previous broadcasts, these will finally be issued shortly.  I sincerely apologize for the long delay.  War is hell, and prison is no picnic either.

Too faint to catch audio here (noisy after TStorms blew through) but have carrier visible in the waterfall. Can hear slight melody just now, but unable to ID tune yet.

Great to hear that Rick escaped from the Nazis and collaborators.

S8 here in South Carolina, horrendous QRN from T-storms.
Audio is pretty good between static crashes.
I really like your format - imagine what it was like to sit in the living room with the floor console RCA or Crosley playing these songs.

0230 - s/off

Rick, thanks for the email and everyone is glad you managed to escape internment.
