6925 USB

Just sat down to check my overnight recording and could hear a station with rockin tunes followed by an SSTV tx.  Conditions still noisy, but slightly better copy this am.  Could hear some audio as early as 09:07z, but too weak at that time to identify anything.

09:47z 'Stairway To Heaven' - diff version
09:53z rockin tune, but can't tell who it is
09:59z Scottie DX SSTV:

10:03z turned my array west & now have better copy
10:04z unknown tune with piano
10:05z ID with mention of reception reports folowed by PSK31:

END OF BROADSTte Than3s for listening to Radio Totse. Please send receptieeports to ra-iototse@gmailcbom

10:06z Off

I have been testing PSK31 under the voice ID's between songs and at the very beginning and sign off. I'm guessing that will be the tones you heard. Whether you can copy the PSK31 from where you are, i'm not sure.

Thanks for listening.

Recorder Catch on 6925 USB

0847 I can detect first audio here, some OM talk then unid music.  Music popped up above the noise intermittently for a while,
with peaks around 0914 and 0939z.
0947 Definite ID by the op "...Radio Totse...", and into "Stairway to Heaven".  Hard to follow in the fading, but some portions of
the 12-string accompaniment seemed like the version on the "How the West Was Won" CD set.
0959 Hearing SSTV.
1003 Pianny music
1005 OM ID, ment reception reports, and then tone
1006 Tone off, last audio heard

Weak near the floor in general, with significant fading and thunderstorm noise.

Thanks for the show Dak!

I have had problems capping the SSTV in previous catches, and last night I found that the tracking notch filter in my software was engaged for whatever reason, so I'm wondering if this was trying to kill the SSTV.  This was off last night (the SSTV audio does sound somewhat better), and I can manually force MMSSTV into capturing the image as a series of roughly 10% height strips, with a lot of resets due to storm noise.

With a bit of careful processing of the SDR recording I/Q data, I was able to obtain this SSTV image, the best ever from Radio Totse for me:

Next I'll try for the PSK31 text.

Generally very poor reception here, except the signal came a little starting at around 0950, until sign off at 1006.

0952: PKS31: ]ou are ≤stening to Radioàotse  692.TB  radiotoese@gmail.com

0957: SSTV, previously posted.

1005: PSK31: END OF BROADCAST. TCeeks for istening to haafe Totse. Pleasehend reception reports to r 7iototseRgianl.com e

All things considered, I think the PSK31 was a success.  Several IDs in a row would probably increase the odds of one of them getting through.
