I've been after this one for years, finally heard here tonight (with c/w music of all things). Battling against Cuba, often both at equal levels and destroying anything else on the channel. 2,153 miles
-
I occasionally hear it here when the Cuban goes long, but it's rare.
That's a helluva catch for this time of year, something that is usually 50 miles inland of the S.E. coast or less thing in the summer.

Congratulations!

Quite impressive, congrats!

That's awesome.

Thanks guys, I've been chasing this one for a long time. Of the US broadcast stations listed on 1620, this log completes 1620 for me. The others listed on the channel are:
KSMH WEST SACRAMENTO CA
WNRP GULF BREEZE FL
WDND SOUTH BEND IN
KOZN BELLEVUE NE
WTAW COLLEGE STATION TX
WDHP FREDERIKSTED VI
KYIZ RENTON WA
I was away from the hobby during the birth of the x-band, so logging some of these stations has been a real challenge. Slowly getting there!

If you want a real 1620 challenge, try to get my 1620kHz Part #15 station with a massive PEP of 92mW to a 102" CB whip. I totally have it covered over by skip about 1/2 a mile away at night. (And at times, not even that far away.) Here's a hint, it will most likely be the only 1620 with Heather Wade's Midnight In The Desert on the weeknights, I plan to upgrade that CB whip with a 3 meter long, 3/4" copper pipe, with a tophat, this Fall 2017. Still, if you should get that, then you'd be the MW DX king, fo' sure!
