Guy interrupting QSOs with a soundboard. Vulgarity, racist comments, etc. on loops.

Welcome to the wonderful world of 75 meters, the new CB band.

Things do get lively there on holiday weekends.
This, approx 12:35 UTC and the next hour are fun times to listen here as the band gets shorter and you can recognize the voices of some of the local Dale Gribble types from area hamfests.

One of that net's regulars, K0AXE (I think that's his call), is just 28 miles from me as the crow flies. I haven't had the misfortune to hear them say anything racist, but it's sadly not surprising to read that that's happening on that net. Was that coming from the hams or the jammer? (Usually I only hear a weak looped recording of someone yelling F--- You repeatedly.)

The jammer. I'm thinking it's the same guy I posted about a few days ago. Both used a soundboard, and interestingly one of the things he broadcast was a loop of F you with different voice effects like you mention. One ham gave his callsign and location with a signal report in the hopes that someone would be able to triangulate. It wouldn't surprise me if this were one lid hitting 80 meters on a regular basis.
The main reason I'm listening to the amateur bands is part of getting back into radio is to upgrade from Tech to General and I'm trying to figure out what bands I'd like to start on. On the bright side, there is a lot of traffic that's interesting especially during contests.

No kidding. All the truckers who are serious about talking got tech licenses and use the local repeaters because CB got so bad. When I listen to CB out here, it's a ghost town except for noise.

I wonder of it's the same A-holes that mess with 7200KHz on 40M in the day. That's turning out to be the wild west there. Then, when the Libertarian Net tries to meet-up around 3995KHz, some douche keeps sound-byting "Black Lives Matter" recordings over that. Thank goodness for the 60M band, but the A-holes will be there soon enough.

You might be looking at this the wrong way. At least there's a place for tthem to congregate, leaving the rest of the band alone.

For a while, I wondered if that is why the FCC seemed to tolerate the nonsense on 14275/14313, to keep it contained. Although the busts a year or two ago suggest even if that was the case, there are limits.

As I recall, there were numerous HAMs who had emailed the lady who ran the fcc under the 0bama regime and kept the fire stoked till actions were taken. I doubt fines and license revocations deters the hardcore idiots amongst them so a safe space for them to expose their idiocy is fine by me.

Josh, one of them was messing with the 40M DX net I check in to just yesterday. Several emails were sent to the FCC. One of the YL's that checks in there is an OO, but these maroons don't pay any attention to the OOs.
RST111, good luck with the license. I usually stay away from 75 but have discovered the 3916 nets thanks to Ted R. at WTWW. http://www.tailgatersnet.com/about.html
You might also listen to the DX window at 3790 to 3800. Usually pretty good at grayline.
The 40M DX net is at 7163 from 5 AM eastern until about 7:30. A fair amount of S Pac stations check in. Check it out.
