Title: Gravitational Waves Detected by LIGO
Post by: Oliver on February 11, 2016, 1637 UTC
This is huge. Einstein was right!

Astronomers have directly detected elusive gravitational waves, 100 years after the existence of these spacetime ripples was first proposed by Albert Einstein in his theory of general relativity. Scientists with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) announced the find in a news conference today (Feb. 11).

Gravitational waves are generated by the acceleration (or deceleration) of massive objects in the cosmos. There's convincing indirect evidence that gravitational waves exist, but a direct detection has proven elusive. It is widely rumored, however, that the LIGO team has directly spotted gravitational waves for the first time ever— and, more specifically, that the putative waves in question were created by the merger of two black holes.

Wake board could work as well...

I used to play with LIGOs as a kid, and I never saw any evidence of "gravitational waves". I say this is all hogwash.

I don't think any of you understand the gravity of the situation...2 black holes merging and nobody knows the gestational period...Houston, we have a problem here! ???

Who is Einstein?!

Lenny Einstein. He and a Squiggy Fansome used to room together when they worked at a brewery in Milwaukee.  He was inspired by the bubbles colliding in the fermentation tank. He married some chick named Laverne because, and I quote, "She bo-oh-dee-oh-doe's.", whatever that means.

Glad to see things worked out for him.

Albert Einstein...

Had the right idea....  Well beyond the ideas of per-winkle-dicks like myself. If for one moment folks would understand... the possibilities of MODULATING these 'waves' then you all would understand...  pirate radio would be pure BS!  Matter-of-fact deal with it...

Imagine the utility of direct modulation into the mind...  You would have NO control of it...  It would be what it is...  total control of the mind and all that exists...  Don't you get it?  It's not a joke but loss of total control.

We are one step away from... the absolute control of all mind and being...

You might think I am a phool but...   it is what it is...  deal with it...  all hail Bob because we are not that far away from the total X-day...

We are so screwed!!!!

Sorry for being so in-to-it...  but you dudes don't get it!
