Title: Red Mercury Labs, 6946.666 kHz, USB, October 28, 2013, 0335 UTC
Post by: Token on October 28, 2013, 0341 UTC
Just in from a day of shooting and party stuff, turned the rig on and lo, someone on an odd freq.  Why, it sounds something like Red Mercury Labs, but such an odd and evil place to find him.  And then, out of the darkness, a familiar voice.  'Tis the voice of RML indeed, speaking of lost bearings, and finding themselves on the tripple 6.

You are being heard RML, but many may be taking the long sleeps.

T!

I would've never found it without Token's post, because I've got some ridiculous (local?) noise covering it here in Pennsylvania.  I can make it out with heavy noise reduction turned on, but the signal barely even shows above the noise on the waterfall.

Thanks for the shout out, always nice to have broadcasters that interact with their audience!

Clarity coming up a little now, Iron Maiden's Ancient Mariner, cool!

You're actually about S7 for me, but so is the noise, I wish I knew where it was coming from.

pope jim,  I'm in SE PA and its been noisy all afternoon and night. I'm guessing its propagation since I can hear something in the clear at 0400utc on 6885 and nothing on 6875.

No, whatever is going on with me is probably local, because I see it all the time, a distinctive-shaped hump of noise on the waterfall.  It goes away sometimes, but it's always the same shape in the same place.  Noise IS up across the band for me tonight, and earlier in the evening 6925USB was jammed by LSB fishermen, but the particular noise I've got is something different.
