Heard the crashing bowling pins at 01:55 UTC using the Point Reyes sdr, I Shazam one song and it came up as Wildflower by Skylark. Fair signal with moderate noise and propagation conditions.

BallSmacker has been on continuously on 6960 AM at 2100 EDT local for 19+ months *every week*. A better question would be "Why did a 6960USB station try to overtake BallSmacker Radio"? No one has a claim to Pirate Airspace but we have been pretty consistent with our broadcasts. Seems like someone trying to ride our broadcasts. We follow best practices both in bandwidth and on time/on frequency broadcasts. We strive to show that pirate radio should be both legally allowed and can follow broadcast standards of signal, timing, and bandwidth. We feel there should be a legal option (as there are in other free countries) for an amateur broadcast music service, low power shortwave, in the US.
