Now into marine radio comms, so I am guessing this is Edmund Fitzgerald Radio.
Good signal here, SIO 444.

2201- music very tough copy

2216- S6-7 now and much clearer

low s7 into DC, lots of atmospheric buzz. next to big blob of local qrm not helping reception.
new station for me, always a nice surprise to get one during the week.

Nice remembrance.

I was born and raised in a small port town - Fairport Harbor, Ohio.  The EF was a somewhat frequent visitor to our port, and the First Engineer on that fateful sail, Ed Bindon, lived a few streets away from me.  (Almost half the crew was from Ohio.)
