I just heard that Brian Alexander passed away in December. Anyone who listens to Glenn Hausers world of radio will recognize the name. Brian was often cited by Glenn to the point that I felt I knew the guy. I honestly don't know anything about him but have heard & read his logs for so long it's kinda like losing a friend.
his obit is here

Thanks for passing this along. I remember listening to a Costa Rican SW station, Radio Relog, when they had a special mailbag program, back in the late 1970's, I tuned in to hear them reading Brian Alexander's letter. I sent a copy of the tape to Brian and we became pen pals. He will be missed.

... Aww jeez. :( I've heard and read that name a zillion times, between World of Radio and the mt-shortwave blog. I admittedly didn't know the man, but I'm terribly sorry just the same.

!
He logged a lot of pirates, too. He was only about an hour from here and I was hoping to stop up and meet him sometime...
BTW, he sent loggings to the CumbreDX group regularly & I see that his last pirate logs were of XFM and Rave On Radio on 11/23 & 11/24
