HAM's should be banned from that section of the International Broadcasting bands. They've been a nuisance for decades with their noise boxes in that particular part of the spectrum. Have the FCC DF them and revoke their licenses for causing interference to a broadcast band, it's a clear violation of The Pirate Radio Act. It's the only solution. ;)

They should be banned from the broadcast bands PERIOD. While I am interested in amateur radio, it is certainly not as interesting as broadcast stations. Both the 41 meter broadcast band and the 75 meter broadcast band overlap with the ham bands in the Americas but not elsewhere. Very poor planning. What I also don’t like is that they will give so much of the HF spectrum to ham radio and yet they won’t create even one band for hobby broadcasting. I believe the only countries that have been smart enough to allow citizens to operate a hobby broadcasting station on shortwave are The Netherlands and Australia (in Australia I don’t think they intended to do that but HF broadcasting licenses are cheap enough for hobby operations).

Weatherman has been there for the last three days giving wx and dewpoints for various cities and numerous blessing to troops
