Listened back on the recording and I could not copy what the robot voice was saying.

I think Ultravox originally did "Trans-European Express" in the early years of post-punk electronica in the UK? About the time of the debut of Public Image Ltd. , the Psychedelic Furs, and The Cure.

That's been a long time ago so I could be wrong. It was before Robert Smith discovered Kabuki make-up.
