1620 ... Hearing 80s music without any talk, presume what is known as the oldies pirate is at it again tonight. Moderate to strong signal. Seems better on south antenna than on west one. @ Burnt River ON

01:14 UTC - Weak barely readable to my location with Reggae music. Fading in and out.
01:15 UTC - Station ID and announcer speaking.
I think I may be hearing WDHP, 1620 AM, Frederiksted, VI, Variety but that is a long haul for a 1 kW night time station. The live stream at https://onlineradiobox.com/vi/wdhp/?cs=vi.wdhp (https://onlineradiobox.com/vi/wdhp/?cs=vi.wdhp) sure souds like what I am hearing on the receiver.

The reggae music will undoubtedly be WDHP. This has had 80s pop, mainly, and no reggae since I tuned in, so you can rule out the pirate for this. Mixing with Rebelde Cuba here, which also has had no reggae... not sure of your QTH.
I do wonder if this is the WEDG pirate Chris Smolinski reported this past June. But I have heard no IDs. South of me (southeast to southwest) seems likely... I'm 100 miles n.e. of Toronto.

Hi Saul,
I am in N.E. Canada (FN08 (https://k7fry.com/grid/?qth=FN08)). I am 800 km North of Toronto. I spent +/- 36 years in Toronto and relocated up North back in June. It's a whole different "radio" experience up here than it was in Toronto.

There used to be a station in the metro Detroit/Windsor region that leased blocks of programming to different ethnic groups in that part of the band. Sometimes it would be reggae, other times Haitian tunes. It was some type of community station. I want to say it was on the Canadian side of the border, but it's been a long time since I've heard it.

Just a strong het here in NE MA, but no audio. At2355, vague, but still unusabel audio (music) is being heard.
-
Does anyone know any KiwiSDR's this station can be heard on? I haven't found any yet.

I've heard Frederiksted,VI on 1620 at Atlantic Beach,NC on vacation, but it's an ideal spot to hear them. South facing beach and a salt water path. All you need there is a decent portable and the patience to wait for the Cuban's to go long. It would be tough to hear that far north and inland.
