2359: easy listening music, can't ID
0000: sci-fi type music (or sound fx?), again, can't ID
0002: breaks in audio, frequency seems to be drifting up/down
song: You Got Lucky - Tom Petty & Heartbreakers
0008: now S7-8, 33333 (except for some distortion); QRM from some digital signal from about 4147-4180 or so
0014: audio off/on; "Don't Come Around Here No More" - Tom Petty & HBs
0023: "Won't Back Down" - TP & HBs
0025: "Running Down A Dream" - TP & HBs
0030: OM: "Cluck, cluck, cluck. I think the transmitter's warmed up now." -> "Free Falling" - TP & HBs
0033: S+N: -87 dBm, SNR: up to 16 peaks, freq. still seems to drift now and again
0034: ? more TP & HBs, I believe
0042: SSTV
0044: "Learning to Fly" - TP & HBs
0105: "Rare and Precious Chain" - Jethro Tull
Not sure if the audio distortion is from frequency drift or variable speed playback of vinyl or cassette.
0109: "Kissing Willie" - Jethro Tull

Good choice of frequency, Rooster. There's no use in banging heads with propagation on 41 meters when it doesn't want to play.
That blonde in the shredded jeans reminds me of a lot of ex-girlfriends. That's the kind that cause fights. Don't go off until I get back from taking a leak.

Big signal on the Kiwi w/ the 900 ft. loop on Smolinski's Radio Ranch. A good 10 over. I heard most of "Locomotive Breath" and the outro I.D.
I don't know how they mic'd Ian and that flute live? I saw them several times at their peak and the guy danced all over the stage while playing it. I'm certain he was as stoned as most of the audience.

Old cassettes can cause the same sound. Some of my "Radio Al Fansome" shows sound like Charlie Brown's teacher after a couple of decades in the box. A Tom Petty cassette from the 80's is going to have a lot of stretch in it.
