Title: Harmony 5775 AM on 21 JAN 2023 not from Belgium
Post by: fabrys on January 21, 2023, 1902 UTC
Good evening,
can anyone confirm if the Harmony broadcaster based in Belgium still broadcasts on this frequency?
I ask because on his home page it says that the shortwave broadcasts ended on 12.31.2022 or so I understand.

I saw that too, but Harmony is still operating on 5775 kHz anyway.

Edit: Never mind, that is a different thing than the Harmony on 5775

Belgium??

I did not know about that one at all. Harmony 5775 formerly 5780 once came from Ireland, now it's coming from Spain. When it's on-air this SDR is handy to verify. http://ei2hh.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/?f=5775.00amnz7 (http://ei2hh.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/?f=5775.00amnz7)

I knew a guy in Ireland who used to relay a lot of pirates from the Continent. He'd send me tapes and I would relay them in the States. (and probably hit parts of Canada) One of the shows came from Belgium and was a C&W format but I can't remember the name of the station? I was more interested in the beers that came from that country.

Clutter Free, I use that SDR. Some of those North African stations blast in there. I can't understand a word of what they say, but I like the music.
