Title: Read this and tremble...
Post by: Pigmeat on February 11, 2023, 0019 UTC
Scientists in New Zealand have just released a report on a fossilized penguin species, Kumimanu Fordycei, that based on flipper size would've tipped the scales at 350 lbs. and cruised the world's oceans at hypersonic speeds beaching pods of early whales with massive
waves for their 100 lb. chicks to devour.

People have thought for decades that the giant penguin of Clearwater, FL. was a hoax, but with the with the manatee/retiree/Scientologist foodbase, and the discovery in New Zealand, the giant penguins of Clearwater could be quite real. Surf's up, dude.

Ever read "At the Mountains of Madness" by H. P. Lovecraft? Some giant penguins in that one, though they're blind and harmless from what I can recall.

Lovecraft was trying not to panic people after he found the "Necronomicon". Giant penguins explains it all. Atlantis, Mu, rogue waves, flood legends, the end of the dinosaurs, you name it, giant penguins were around doing enormous, explosive, belly flops, in unison!

Do they fly? No one knows, but, they certainly have the the capability, like all members of the penguin family.

The fierce reputation of flying penguins has been recognized in military weaponry, such as this Norwegian antiship missile:

and this antipersonnel prototype (graphic content):

The mere mention of "penguin" ought to strike fear in the hearts of potential enemies.

That artist's rendering says it all. If we'd had them at Normandy and Okinawa, WWII would have ended in 1944 as Hirohito and Hitler would've surrendered on the spot when faced with the landing photo's. Unending waves upon waves of them hitting the beaches with their bayonet like beaks sharpened to a hard point.

Say what you will, Al Fansome knew his penguins.

Trying to close the dolphin gap, eh? They're a little late to the party, we've moved on to Killer Whales on the Moon.

But that's far in the future, in the reign of Calculon.

But that's far in the future, in the reign of Calculon.

At that point, sure, but who knows how long that Maginot Line had been in place?
