I just learned via Ralph Perry, that well known DXer, author etc., Don Jensen of Kenosha, WI passed away this afternoon of an
apparent heart attack. Don was well known in the mainstream DX community, but would log a pirate now and then.

Awww, crap :(
RIP dude.

Don Jensen was an inspiration to an entire generation of younger DXers that followed him. I only met him one time, and that was very memorable to say the least. RIP and thanks for what you have done for the hobby.

Joe, I met "DNJ" as he used to write next to his logs, on two occasions, way back when at my first ANARC Convention in 1971 in Indy and 1972 when we hosted it in Boston. He was a great guy, always was willing to lend a helping hand to a 19 yo kid that I was back then. Just recently we had been corresponding again. If there was
a DXers Hall Of Fame, he would be in it. As the late Bill Eddings, the founder/publisher of NASWA might say, "a mighty oak has fallen".
Here is a link to his obit....
