Interesting, thanks for posting.  Several years ago, I had taken a tour of VOA in DC which was fascinating.  As I recall, broadcasts/recordings were happening in a half dozen languages in glass walled studios you could watch/listen.  This is a photo from outside headquarters from last month while I was there, no tour this past trip.

Thanks for sharing that info, CT Yank! I recall taking a tour of VOA HQ back around 1983 or so. It was quite a bigger operation at that time, of course. Interesting that they still offer tours, which are currently first-come, first-served, daily at noon:
