Radio Noise from Internal/External Sources at Radio Receiving Sites is a set of free E-Books created by the Department of the Navy.

Perhaps the ideas presented can be of help to someone.

Very nice. Hopefully will be useful in curing some of the noise around here.

Firearms and explosives work well for off-site noise sources. You'd be amazed at what slug from a 12 gauge shotgun can do for power line transformer noise. It's recommended that you fire from no less than 30 yards out and wear hearing protection.

Have had a lot of noise increase around here over the years.

Read through this thing... and think I'm doing everything that I'm not supposed to (except welding galvanized steel... I don't have a welder).

Interestingly, last night, MW was calm. Have had a buzzing across the vast majority of the band for weeks. Also saw neighbors out yesterday (who usually aren't around) so think they turned something off.
