PCO is my own beacon here in Colorado. Reports would be appreciated. HI
My ham call is AA0RQ. There seems to be little interest in CW beacons on the LWCA web site.
So I will be posting Hifer reports over here. 73 to all listeners and to those who actually
run Hifer CW Beacons.

Bill, have you looked lately? There has been no more apparent interest in CW beacons over here than there is at the LWCA board. Arguably a little less, actually, since your own posts are the main ones that have appeared here since July, with only a couple of replies. Meanwhile, four or five folks have been posting reports over there since you left...some of which have been CW-only, and some are a mix of CW and slow modes.
This is a hobby, not politics. You don't have to "choose sides" where to post. AFAIK, you're still just as welcome at LWCA as ever. So, why not spread the news around wherever you can, in order to pique the interest of as many readers as possible?
And don't be too discouraged by lack of response, either here or there. It's typical on any highly specialized HF forum at this time of year.

Hi Bill, I have "PCO" right now on 22 SEP 2023 23:37Z, weak but readable and making it through some splatter from an AM station up the band. Have noticed it on the SDR the past couple of days. On the Airspy HF+ Discovery and 60 ft longwire. Good hearing you out there old friend. I retire in two weeks so will be a lot more radio active. Working on a couple of 22M beacons to have going from here in San Tan Valley, AZ (I have moved to a much more rural area with room for real antennas). 73!

PCO weak but readable this morning with moderate QSB, 13563.5 KHz. Icom IC-R8500 60ft NE/SW longwire. 17OCT23 18:45z
-
PCO with some fading but comes back fairly solid. Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft NE/SW longwire. 13563.50 KHz 21OCT23 18:50z
It sounds a bit chirpy in a couple of places in the video but I believe that is on my end, computer not quite keeping up while recording.

PCO faded up very strong for a couple of passes this morning then back down into the noise. In there weak now. Airspy HF+ 60ft NE/SW longwire. 13563.5 KHz 24OCT23 17:49z

PCO weak with fading but copyable on the upswing. 13563.48 KHz 12NOV23 23:18z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire

Thanks Ron

PCO in there weak this morning with moderate fading. 13563.48 KHz 22NOV23 18:36z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire

PCO with a good signal this afternoon, moderate fading and solid on the upswings. 13563.48 KHz 18DEC23 21:46z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire

Thanks Ron for the post...

Time to check for PCO again - it's been a while since I listened in. Will let you know.
LWCA activity on HiFER beacons waxes and wanes, but the long list indicates there's still quite a lot of interest.

PCO battling its way through the CODAR QRM, weak but fading up above the QRM about once a minute. 13563.48 KHz 01JAN24 21:04z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire
Happy New Year Bill!
-
The past few days PCO has almost hit S7 on the NUT sdr
Thanks for the report...happy new year and good DXing.

Turned DYG off for a while this afternoon to check 22 meters. PCO is weak but there with moderate fading. Getting up on top of the ever present CODAR which is fading up and down as well. There are a few other glimmers in the band but PCO is the only one I can pull out. 13563.50 14FEB24 21:45z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire
-
PCO came sliding up from under the noise around 00:30. Weak but there and fairly solid. 13563.50 16FEB24 00:30z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire.
Nothing else much in the band this afternoon other than CODAR, the usual constant data stream at 13560.8, and the Russian RTTY station in and out on 13558 KHz. Quite strong.

PCO with a very nice signal making it well above the CODAR and competing with what appears to be OTH radar bursts. Very little fading, best I have heard it in some time as local sunset takes place. 13563.55 08MAR24 01:57z Airspy HF+ Discovery 60ft SE/NW longwire
