I don't know if this is a licensed beacon or not. It sounds like a loud knock on the door. I couldn't find anything about it online. It ranged three to five s units in the Mojave Desert of Southern California.

You might have been picking up GYA Northwood Meteo (UK) FAX services. The actual frequency is 11086.5 kHz and you would tune to 11084.6 kHz USB to decode it.
I also regularly see & hear "sounders" (like a woodpecker) in this portion of the band.

I am hearing something at 6:22 UTC that could be the fax thing you're talking about. That's not at all what I heard on 11.090 however. What I heard last night was a chronological regular Beacon. And I actually do not hear it tonight.
