Title: Is it normal to find USB ops at the top of region 2 40M band?
Post by: KandiKlover on July 30, 2023, 0115 UTC
I had remembered finding USB conversations while spinning the dial just below 7300 and decided to take a spin again and heard more West Coast ops on 7284kHz and 7296kHz USB. I know it's not against the rules but it is curious and a bit attention catching. I also used to do it too back when I had a license years ago to avoid the useless butt-ins while chatting with friends along with D-Star on a more limited basis.

USB is also common for the "green" radio nets. Most "antique / vintage" military radios only had USB.
