Very Good reception, English service, direct from Kashi-saibagh, China.  Generally don't post about CRI but for time of day, strength of signal, and distance - fairly remarkable reception.

1508 OM and YL talking about current international affairs including Brazil, Malaysia, immigration.

I can't be certain of course, since as far as I know they haven't published any technical data about their transmitters or power*, but I believe they're operating the most advanced transmitters in the world. Every morning, particularly predawn, my waterfall is full of Chinese signals, most not beamed to North America but most also coming in very well, with the exception of specifically interior target broadcasts (though usually their carriers can still be detected).

* I know that they register with HFCC and state transmitter power there, but I believe that's just an upper limit. I can tell by the quality of signal strength that most active SWBC stations aren't using all that they're permitted, though I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese not only are, but are in fact exceeding those limits.
