Signed on with a strong carrier, then off and back on with music. B52s "Channel Z" playing right now at 0237z, audio is low despite good carrier level (S6-S7).
X-FM ID at 0248z! Glad you got your audio back :-)

Heard "Channel Z" by the B-52s at 02:34 very weakly. No music now heard but carrier is still there at 02:39

Sounding good here at 0251." I sat by the Ocean '

6955 AM, 8/3/13, 0300z: After song I didn't recognize with autotuned vocals, fairly clear XFM ID, testing independent sideband broadcast tonight. Didn't recognize next song either.
0307z: Off? Lost carrier on both home and web tuners.
Via home receiver with indoor antenna, fair signal with occasional good peaks through usual summer QRN, no particular QRM. Barely audible via east coast web tuner.

Seen on waterfall of SDR recording sliding up from about 6900 & coming to rest at 6954.98. Seemingly strong carrier but not much audio heard here.

I guess you could do the same, recording in real-time from two receivers tuned to LSB and USB, but it's much easier to do in software :-) Terrible noise last night on the band, but here's a stereo recording FWIW. I used SDR Console to pipe the LSB to the left channel and the USB to the right channel using two independent VFOs. I still get annoying little audio dropouts when playing back Perseus I/Q files through SDR Console, but better than nothing. I also notice some echo during the announcements, I don't know if that was intended or just lag between the VFOs on the software. I would love to hear this test again over a quiet band.

SDR catch. On at 0227 with a weak carrier, then some music and off at 0228.
Back on at 0229, stronger, about S7.

Not so easy is it? I had similar problems with my winradio. Using the excalibur, you can use synchrous detection on two of its 3 "receivers" and select upper or lower and right or left appropriately. Because of buffering and CPU lag, you wind up with something that sounds similar to Kilo's recording. The 305 Pro has an ISB mode, but its not synchronous (kinda like a boat with no rudder) so you have to constantly chase drift in both frequency and phase, not so easy to do.
I sent some documentation to the guy who wrote the sodira plugin to try and get him to do a synchronous ISB mode about a year ago to get around these evils, but as of yet haven't heard anything back.
Despite poor condx and computer buggery, thank you guys for listening and taking the time to log and record!
