Title: Metro Radio International 6950.3 AM 2355 UTC 3 Sep 2013
Post by: ChrisSmolinski on September 03, 2013, 2355 UTC
Hearing some faint music.
Possible ID at 2356, but I could not pull it out of the noise.
OM and YL talking - Metro Radio International?

I checked the SDR recording:
I first saw a sign on at 2348 on 6950.335. It sounded like MRI went right into music. S8 signal, but the static levels were S8 as well.
2356 OM talking, possible ID?
2359 Back into music
0005 YL then OM talking
0015 YL and OM talking, into more music
0029 another break from the music, with an OM and YL.  Just not quite enough signal to pull out what was being said.
0042 A nice peak to the signal right about now.
0056 Off

I can barely hear them also.  Can't make much out, other than someone is talking.

2351 Dance music
2355 OM and YL talk - it does seem like this could be MRI
2359 back to music
0005 OM/YL talk again
0009 back to music in growing LSB pesc QRM - also some now at 0011 in the USB it seems
0015 some YL/OM talk - really nice peak during this, but not during an ID
0019 back 2 mx
0025 sounded like a solid Metro Radio International ID
0042 getting some nice audio now  :)
0054 Carrier seemed to drop around 15dB in about 30 seconds; still hearing drum/bass beat at 0056?
0057 off now - nothing in the waterfall

About S6 here with deep choppy fades - nice audio - mx and studio - on peaks
Thanks DJF and Ms Synth!

0038, Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence
0043, song with yelling
0045, dialog, ID??

S-6 on peaks.

0030 Metro ID.
0038 Depeche Mode - Live Recording?
0045 Clear ID for Metro

Faint audio above static levels.   Music which was too weak to id.

Can hear bits of om/yl talk and now music at 0024. Pesties on lsb combined with the noise making for rough conditions .

Very weak here. Not far enough above the noise to make any audio out.

S6 over the usual summer static with occasional pesky interference above and below 6950.

0043z: Remix of a Depeche Mode song
0044z: OM/YL banter, familiar to Metro Radio, mentioning the Depeche Mode song.  Only bits of talk can be understood.  On a quiet band and without the interference, this would be a nice copy.
0056z: Off

Thanks Metro!
