Sounded like a Metallica Tune to me. But really weak signal. Completely gone at 0052.
Btw, 6940-6945 are completely covered by some data stream. I think it's centered on 6942.
-
Mostly in the noise, but faded up nicely to hear 'Seven Nation Army' by The White Stripes @ 0100z
Sounds like good audio when I can hear it....
0104 -- 'December' by Collective Soul
Possibly 'Happy' by Sister Hazel, but rough copy @ 0113z.
0118 -- sounds like Crash Test Dummies song
0123 -- 'Rusty Cage' by Soundgarden
0135 -- 'Satellite' by POD -- I had to switch to USB was starting to sound distorted in AM
0140 -- Nine Inch Nails song
0145 -- 'Violet' by Hole
0148 -- 'Here Without You' by 3 Doors Down -- signal has come up some, but has flutter.
0152 -- 'Clumsy' by Our Lady Peace
0159 -- They Might Be Giants song ??
0202 -- 'Where Do We Go From Here' by Live
0205 -- 'The Walls Came Down' I can't remember who did this.....
0207 -- 'Big Bang Baby' by STP --- signal came way up during this song

Sounding good tonight with some 90's rock.
Sorry about not having times.
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Collective Soul - December
Faded out till Three Day Grace played
Then heard some Soundgarden - Rusty Cage
Nine Inch Nails - Closer.
Hole barely audible but hanging in there.
3 Doors Down - Here Without you.
Our Lady Peace - Clumsy
Unsure of couple tunes.
Stone Temple Pilots - Big Bang Baby
Deep Blue Something - Breakfast at Tiffany's
Sister Hazel - All for you
ID - couldn't make it out tho ???
The data mode near freq really making this problematic.
OFF around 0218
-
6950 AM S6 - S8 w/ moderate static can hear well enough at S7 - S8 but in the noise at S6 and lower
00:48 ut Unid rock music
00:57 ut possible ID but can't make anything out...
00:58 frequency shifted down a bit then up to 6951.5 khz to
1:00 ut back down to 6950 khz - White Stripes tune
1:02 ut Could not recall who this was - Thanks Cesium - Collective soul
1:03 ut possible op talking again then into another tune -
1:38 ut ID? then - "Doesn't get any better than this" .... into next tune
2:119 ut Off Air
-
Heard the tune-up tweeps on 6950 before 0100z, fair carrier, but so far music just barely audible, not enough to ID anything.
-
Weak het here at 0118, nothing's come up since then (0121)
0124 Signal popped up with about 1 minute of heavy metal - like music, then dropped off entirely.
-
0200z Down deep in the noise in NH, about S4 - weak enough that any ID will be tough to copy.
0218z Some kinda commercial station chatter and ID? (93.7, From Davenport to International Falls, Minnesota's 100,000 watt new rock alternative - The Edge) Some googling says this is KEGE Minneapolis
0219z "I can't do any more damage around this popsicle stand" Google tells me this is a quote from "Aladdin"
0220z Off
Thanks for that YouTube link synthman78 - "one billion milliwatts"
-
Sounds like the same station as on 6940 the other night: http://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,12537.0.html

Looks like someone paying tribute to the late KEGE.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHRU8aVTuT4
