This is Link 11, Tactical Data Link.

T!

(edit)  Here is an example of the Link 11 on 6947 kHz USB, to confirm this is what you had.

It pops up from time to time. I liked 6950 as a frequency about a decade or so ago, but I figured why piss off two govt. agencies at the same time? I followed Brownyard to 6925 when the data went 24/7 after 9/11.

It's a solid tell that the military is up to something when the data stream there becomes a regular fixture on the bands.

Link-11 appears on 49 meters in the local mornings as well, after sunrise and the DX is gone. Around 6100 if memory serves.

Speaking of 49 meters, any word on what happened to CFRX 6070? They've been gone for a few weeks now.

Did you hear a CFRX ID? No trace here, so I suspect you have something else.
