R Australia is usually booming in here on 9580 every morning. No hearing anything this morning. Checked their online schedule (http://www.radioaustralia.net.au/international/radio/waystolisten/abc-radio-shortwave-frequency-guide.pdf) and they're still scheduled to be on. They're also supposed to be on 12065, but that's silent as well.
Had the recorder set to record 9580 this morning from 0800-1500Z. It started out ok, but as time went on, R Aus dropped into the noise, until around 1040Z when it finally disappeared.

Hmm, I have them on 9580 with an S9+20 signal. 12065 also here with an S9+ signal, both at 1150z. The K index is 5 (and was 6 earlier) so that could be wrecking havoc with propagation?

1215Z:
Kp went to 6 at 0458Z (1458 Sydney time), so looks like they got nailed during their day time and that probably did it.
Interesting that you can hear them. Listening now to 9580 and hearing extremely very faint voice and can't ID it. Nothing at all on 12065.
Checked for RNZI on 9700 and nothing there either.
Also nothing for V of Korea on 15180, 13760 and 11735.
1235Z:
R Aus has returned. Over the past few minutes it has come up from deep in the noise to a respectable S5 and slowly building. RNZI 9700 is slowly returning as well.

They're back up to their usual 20 over here @ 1325 UTC. Some minor occasional flutter though.
Playing & analyzing Don McLean's "American Pie", because it's his birthday.

While driving into work from 1250Z-1330Z (@!#&%*# traffic), it was coming in with no problems. However, still no RNZI on 9700, Japan on 9595, V of Korea on 15180, 13760, and 11735. Bands were still struggling, but the dark side of the planet was well on the way to recovery.
Got home tonight at 2230Z and checked V of Greece on 9420. Strength is about 2/3 of usual and very fluttery.

R. Australia was very weak here as well @ 1030z, so I checked the space wx and saw the K index was 5. Absorption over the poles was maxed out, but R.A. is not a polar path for me so I was surprised it was affected so much.

Radio Australia & N. Zealand on multiple frequencies starting 1100gmt today.
Propagation must be cooling off.
